Stone County Youth Leadership Mission Statement:
To identify, motivate and train potential young leaders enabling them to take an active role in their community. This will result in strong leaders who have hope for the future and the tools to influence a positive and progressive community. Why do we need a Youth Leadership program? The youth of today will serve as the leaders of tomorrow. In order to ensure the future growth of Stone County, educated youth must be prepared to assume the leadership positions. Who Can Apply? Any 9th or 10th grade public, private, or home-schooled student in Stone County may apply. The student should have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average, be committed to completing the course, and complete an official application form prior to the deadline. How to Apply Applications may be obtained at each Stone County high school counselor’s office, or at the Ozarka College Mountain View campus receptionist desk, or may be downloaded and printed from the Ozarka College web site at www.Ozarka.edu (click on the Students tab, then click on Student Success in the drop down menu, then click on the link “Stone County Youth Leadership”).
